Faber have announced that they will be publishing the story of the Beastie Boys, drawing significantly on an oral history to be given by Mike D and Ad-Rock.
The publishers say the book, which should reach shelves by autumn 2015 as part of their Faber Social series, will go from the band’s "origins as a New York City high school hardcore band in 1981 through last year’s induction in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame", and is set to feature entries from "world-famous writers and cultural figures" that will look at the legacy of the band and former member MCA, who sadly passed away last year.
It’s also set to be filled with images and take its design lead from the band’s fanzine Grand Royal.
