Baroness Relief Auction Starts Today

Group of friends launch eBay auctions to raise money for band's medical bills

As Pitchfork report, Baroness Relief, a group set up by friends of the band whose tour bus crashed over a viaduct near Bath last year, will be beginning a huge auction of excellent Baroness and non-Baroness bric-a-brac to fund payment of the band’s medical bills.

Head over to the group’s site here, where they’ve listed their hugely impressive haul, which includes everything from one-off artwork by Jeremy Hush, Baroness’ merch man, and signed photographs of the band to a whole range of equipment, including snare drums used by Mastodon and Meshuggah, Earthless guitarist Isaiah Mitchell’s analogue delay pedal and Meshuggah’s Line 6 POD effects unit. There’s also the chance to win a year’s subscription to every record released by Baroness’ label Relapse Records in 2013, all on clear vinyl.

The auction starts on Baroness Relief’s eBay page at 2pm EDT (7pm BST), and you can also make straight donations at their site.

In further Baroness news, are setting off on their first tour since the accident later this month. For full details, head to the band’s site.
