Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

8. Meg BairdSeasons On Earth

Meg is another friend who I started out being a fan of. I think whatever she does is phenomenal, one of the most naturally gifted musicians I’ve ever met. Even when she sits down and tries to play my harp its beautiful. Her instincts are great, she will just sit down and pluck something out and I’m like ‘wow you don’t even know the C string from the E string’. She’s just a very gifted musician and a poet and I just love everything she makes but I would say this is my favorite because it reminds me of living in Philly when we were neighbours and I would go and hear her play a lot.
