Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

2. DrakeThank Me Later

I’ve been following Drake constantly after I got this record. I don’t know anything about hip-hop and rap… maybe something about R&B but I’m still at a very ‘beginner’ kind of level.

I find this record very interesting from many points of view but its melodies and emotions are of most interest to me. The production works really well throughout the whole 14 tracks, the pads are lovely, the lyrics are honest and anyone could identify with what’s going on in these songs. I couldn’t tell which songs I like most; here I’m talking about a solid package of feelings and fine music all delivered in one pack of blows. This is really one of the records that I’ve listened to most during my life, even though it is pretty recent.
