America football are the band of Midwest emo. I saw them on one of their first shows back at the Electric Ballroom in Camden – I bought the t-shirt and all that.
What do you remember about that show?
I just remember hearing the moments of the trumpet – we all froze hearing it in person. It was rammed it, of course, their first show back.
Had you been to a lot of shows at this point or just started going out?
Around that time I was in university – I was going to shows once or twice a week, seeing a lot of rock bands and some electronic stuff as well – things like Gold Panda and Shigeto.
