This was the first time I’d heard Elizabeth Fraser’s voice, which led me to Cocteau Twins and everything else she’s done. I just thought the ‘Song To The Siren’ cover was phenomenal and the album totally changed how I wanted to be as a singer and how I thought about the way music interacts with the human voice.

I was going to ask you a bit about singing, and that interface of the voice and electronics. Some of your other choices might lead us down that path…
