Baker's Dozen

Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

I love the Stones. I’ve got three favourite albums – Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers and Beggars Banquet, but Let It Bleed has got ‘Gimme Shelter’, ‘Midnight Rambler’ and ‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want’ – absolutely brilliant. I’ll never forget the impact of hearing ‘Gimme Shelter’ for the first time as a very young kid. It’s maybe a bit boring to be plugging them as they’re on their 50th anniversary tour, but they are a brilliant band.

Selected in other Baker’s Dozens: Marry Waterson, Laibach, Ian Rankin, Noel Gallagher
