Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

2. RadioheadKid A

Now this one was a game-changer for me, as was In Rainbows. Kid A sonically took me to a place I’d never been before. It was indie but it was indie electronic music, a kind of bloopy type of heaviness sonically that I wasn’t aware existed. Especially not from Radiohead. So I absolutely love Kid A for introducing me to that kind of music. And it made me wonder about the people in the band and what they were into. I heard rumours that Tom Yorke had actually asked Autechre to produce that album. So it was one of those albums that made me think about the band behind it, rather than just the album itself.
