Baker's Dozen

Artists discuss the 13 records that shaped their lives

8. Hadi ZeidanSetrak (Club Version)

Guido: He’s a French Lebanese producer living in Paris. A friend and a neighbour, Hadi is always trying to find new ideas and concepts. On his 2018 album Taksim Analog he invented a music caught between Lebanese Cabaret and Acid House all done with a Roland.    Hervé: We chose this track because we play it a lot… we play it constantly. We even played it at our album launch party in Paris last night. It always brings people to dance.    Guido: He found something unique in this track that begins kind of slowly, and then the keyboards enter, and then it plays the same thing over and over and over. It’s great, it’s a slower one and it creates a kind of a trance.
