The 28-piece release explores, in Dalt's own words, "weird voices, bodily sounds and throat singing"

Lucrecia Dalt is set to release a score she's produced for new comedy horror series The Baby through RVNG Intl. and Invada Records.

The Baby is a new series for HBO and Sky, which depicts a woman's a journey into motherhood after she is landed with a baby – which has violent powers – after a life of doing what she wants, when she wants. Dalt's score for the series consists of 28 pieces, which explore, in her own words, "weird voices, bodily sounds and throat singing."

You can listen to one piece from the score, 'Mareterna', just above. For the track, the show's producers requested "a Dalt banger." Speaking about this, Dalt said: "I thought, okay, this is a cool challenge! I analysed my favorite bangers, listened repeatedly to reprogram my creative response from there. Alex Lázaro helped me create a rhythmic groove that we made from a merengue-like pattern beat. I added rhythmic vocals processing my voice – the perfect spot to bring various of the sonic elements we have heard in the episode."

This is Lucrecia Dalt's second score to date, following her just-released soundtrack for the film The Seed.

RVNG Intl. / Invada will release The Baby (Original Score on May 27, 2022.
