Jlin has released a new track, ‘Loc’d & Ready’, in collaboration with Fitz Fonzarelli and Cap Productions, two artists from her home base of Indiana.
The track, released as the 29th entry in Adult Swim’s 2021 Singles series, sees the US producer return to the footwork roots that she’s moved away from on other recent releases. You can listen to the track via Adult Swim’s website.
In a statement, Jlin said: "Fitz is from my hometown in Indiana, and also my barber. Literally one of the coolest and nicest guys in the world. His lyrical delivery is undeniably solid. Cap Productions I just met recently through Fitz picking his beat, entitled ‘Kiss The Ring’, to rap over. Collaborating with these two has been so fun and authentically an amazing creating process."
The release of ‘Loc’d & Ready’ follows on from the recent announcement of Jlin’s next EP, Embryo, which is out on Planet Mu in December.
