Lawrence English and HTRK's Jonnine Standish are next up in the 'Documenting Sound' run of releases

Boomkat Editions has announced the next two releases in its lockdown-inspired Documenting Sound tape series.

The first is Lawrence English's Field Recordings From The Zone, which features almost an hour of location recordings made in Queensland in the aftermath of the bushfires earlier this year. HTRK's Jonnine Standish, meanwhile, has put out a 9-track album of new songs called Blue Hills, which was recorded in the Australian town of Kallista earlier this year and features contributions from CS + Kreme's Conrad Standish.

Documenting Sound was launched earlier this year as a means of inviting a curated selection of artists to contribute music generally made in isolation during the COVID-19 lockdown. Artists were given the proviso that the music should be recorded and produced at their homes or in their immediate surroundings.

Amongst those to have contributed thus far to Documenting Sound are Sarah Davachi, Hieroglyphic Being, Heather Leigh, and Mark Leckey.

Field Recordings From The Zone and Blue Hills are out now via Boomkat Editions.
