Following the announcement in January of a new Spike Jonze-directed documentary on the Beastie Boys, a trailer for the film has now been shared online. You can watch it above.
The near-three-minute trailer features archival video of the band alongside new footage of surviving members Mike D and Ad-Rock talking about the band’s history on stage.
Beastie Boys Story is directed by Spike Jonze, with whom the band have collaborated on projects numerous times in the past. Jonze also shares writing duties with Mike D and Ad-Rock, with the film set to receive a global release via Apple TV+ on April 24, after premiering at selected IMAX theatres on April 3.
