Jeff Mills Revives Millsart Alias

It's his first release under the moniker since 2003

Jeff Mills is returning to his Millsart alias for his next release.

Reviving the moniker for the first time since 2003, Mills will release the fifth instalment in the Every Dog Has Its Day series across four sides of vinyl. It’s the first release in the series since he laid the alias to rest in 2003.

"Mills feels after a long lay off it’s time to rehash his Millsart persona and gauge the here and now, and where we fit in," says a press release issued by his label, Axis Records, which will release Every Dog Has Its Day digitally and on 2×12" vinyl on January 31. You can hear previews of the record here. A sixth volume will follow in the spring according to Axis.

Every Dog Has Its Day Vol. 5 follows on from a wave of reissue-focused activity from Mills last year which saw him launch a retrospective series and repress his classic ‘The Bells’.
