'Kiss the Book' was previously ever available as part of a Peel Session

With The Pop Group's 1979 album Y set to be reissued through Mute next month, the label has now shared an unreleased studio version of their track, 'Kiss the Book', which you can hear via the video above.

The lost track is set to feature as one of the bonus cuts on the reissue. Previously only available as part of a Peel Session that the band recorded in 1978, 'Kiss the Book' is one of several unreleased tracks found when the band unearthed the original 2" tapes of their studio sessions and recordings.

Y has been remastered at half-speed for the new reissue which marks the album's 40th anniversary. it's due out on November 1 - you can find more information here.

The remastered version of the album will be given its world premiere airing at London's The Social on October 29 as part of an edition of The Quietus Social where Stephen Mallinder will be the guest.
