Beastie Boys Plan Shows Around Book

A trio of shows involving the two surviving members of the Beastie Boys are scheduled for next month

The two surviving members of the Beastie Boys have announced plans for three stage shows around the impending release of their memoir Beastie Boys Book.

It’s not yet known exactly what form the shows will take, but they are believed to involve Mike D and Ad-Rock and will also feature Spike Jonze acting as ‘director’. The shows will take place at the Tower Theater in Philadelphia on April 5 and Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre on April 8 and 9.

Tickets for the shows have already sold out despite the scarcity of information around what form they will take. It’s thought that the shows will be filmed for an as-yet unknown project however. Beastie Boys Book, which traced the history of the trio in the words of Mike D and Ad-Rock, was released last year.
