Surgeon - Force + Form
I can't really remember where or when I first encountered Surgeon's music, but I do remember going on a big Surgeon, Regis, Female, Downwards, Counter Balance, Dynamic Tension binge at one point. Force + Form is my favourite Surgeon album. Techno doesn't throw up too many great artist albums, which is why I put so much thought into my own, but Force + Form is one of the greatest achievements of the genre. It's a purist techno album in some ways but also pushes outwards into new territory at other times. It has a subtle sense of humour to it, which is evident in a lot of Tony's work and which techno desperately needs.
