News of Perc’s first solo, original release through his own Perc Trax label since last year’s The Power And The Glory has been announced. Gob is its name and is also the title of one of the EP’s three tracks which see the producer pushing forward with some of his most forthrightly harsh, dancefloor-driven material yet. Text accompanying the EP’s release reads thusly: “Created during the run up to the recent UK general election this EP continues the political stance of 'The Power And The Glory' without ever forgetting that techno is body music, created for and experienced best on the dancefloor.” Across the EP “current UK issues of corporate and political greed and the rise in inequality play on Perc's mind.” Gob will be released digitally and on vinyl on August 7.
