Bulgarian State Radio & Television Female Vocal Choir - Le Mystère Des Voix Bulgares
Another album mainly with just vocals. I think there is only a bit of percussion on one track and some flute somewhere, but otherwise just voice and choirs. The harmonies on here are great: the under-voices following the lead like they are one, and then turning into this great cluster of harmonies and sometimes beautiful dissonance. My favourite thing on here are these dynamics and crescendos that the choir makes when the voices come out of nothing, straight at you with no vibrato and amazing power. So chilling. I am not sure what I can compare this to.
