Prince – Sign “O” the Times
I’m such a fan of Prince. I like his best work anyway. He’s probably the best songwriter of his generation… the best artist of his generation. I prefer him to Michael Jackson in a way. He’s just incredible. I know Sign “O” the Times, as an album, is actually a little bit patchy. But I love 'The Cross' and 'Sign O’ The Times', the song, is unbelievable. The House of Love had been going for a year or so when that came out and I just... I’d been into Prince since Controversy. But I’d forgotten about him a bit as I’d got into corduroy jackets and fringes. 'Sign O’ The Times', really struck a chord.
