The Knife’s Olof Dreijer has released a new EP through Hessle Audio, the label run by Ben UFO, Pangaea and Pearson Sound.
Titled Rosa Rugosa, it features three new tracks by the Swedish producer, including the title track which was given a standalone release in June. You can listen to all three cuts just below.
The link-up between Dreijer and Hessle Audio came about after Ben UFO included Dreijer’s 2009 track ‘Echoes From Mamori’ on an EP he curated in 2021 for the Melodies Record Club series. It’s Dreijer’s first solo EP in more than a decade, and follows on from the release earlier this year of a collaborative record with Mt. Sims, called Souvenir.
Speaking about Rosa Rugosa, Dreijer said: "I hope these tracks show how much fun I’ve had making them. They capture a joyous part of my life coming back and making my own music again. I wanted to make something warm, organic, emotional and groovy in a way that excites me."
Rosa Rugosa is out now on Hessle Audio.
