black midi have released an EP of cover versions, called Cavalcovers.
Out now, the EP – which partially takes its name from last year’s Cavalcade LP – features three tracks, which see the band taking on cuts by Taylor Swift (‘Love Story’), King Crimson (’21st Century Schizoid Man’) and Captain Beefheart (‘Moonlight On Vermont’). On the King Crimson cover, all three members of the band share vocal duties for the first time, while the cover of Captain Beefheart features drummer Morgan Simpson on lead vocals for the first time on a track by the band.
