Mumdance has shared a vast music archive covering his mixes, productions and sound design work via a new website.
The UK DJ and producer summarised the archive as "316 hours of mixes, many of them previously unheard, alongside a detailed archive of all my work from 2008 onwards, including equipment lists and sleeve notes for each track in the discography." Among the mixes are various club recordings and radio sessions, including back-to-back sets with the likes of Ben UFO, DJ Stingray, Josey Rebelle, James Ruskin and more.
Alongside the archive, Mumdance, real name Jack Adams, also shared a statement addressing his near-three years away from releasing music and playing DJ sets, in which he touched on his struggles with addiction.
"As I complete my third year clean and sober, I wanted to share an archive of my work over the past 14 years," he wrote. "Over the last 12 months, I’ve slowly started to remember what I used to love about music. I have no real expectations of what comes next, but I’m grateful to have the beginnings of a healthier relationship with listening and creating."
The productions featured within the archive date back to 2008 and since then, Adams has released music with labels such as Local Action, XL, Keysound and Tectonic, as well as the Different Circles imprint he co-founded with Logos. He’s also collaborated with artists such as Novelist, Speedy J and Pinch over the course of his career to date.
