Le Guess Who? Adds 46 Artists To 2021 Lineup

William Basinski, Pa Salieu and faUSt are among those newly joining the bill

Utrecht’s Le Guess Who? festival has revealed a second wave of lineup additions for its return later this year.

Scheduled for November, the festival has added the likes of William Basinski, Pa Salieu, Lucinda Chua, Ana Roxanne, Vladislav Delay, KeiyaA, Siti Muharam and Arooj Aftab to its general lineup. Nyege Nyege Tapes sub-label Hakuna Kulala will also present a special club night bill with Authentically Plastic, Diaki, DJ Marcelle, Menzi and Turkana all scheduled to appear.

Le Guess Who? previously revealed that Lucrecia Dalt, Matana Roberts, Midori Takada, John Dwyer and Phil Elverum will each curate their own parts of the lineup. Dalt’s programme will include a collaborative performance between herself and Aaron Dilloway, as well as sets from Beatriz Ferreyra, Tarta Relena, Felix Kubin and Julián Mayorga.

Matana Roberts has invited Irreversible Entanglements (which features Moor Mother), Jesu, Oren Ambarchi and Joëlle Léandre to play, while Midori Takada will be joined by Ensemble Klang and free jazz improvisational trio Ton-Klami, of which Takada is a part.

John Dywer’s curation includes faUSt (performing their album Faust IV), Old Time Relijun, Earth Girl Helen Brown, Gustaf and Brigid Dawson & Sunwatchers. Dwyer will also perform twice as part of OSEES and new project Bent Arcana. Finally, Phil Elverum has invited The Microphones, Duma, Lori Goldston and Mori Kalkun.

Le Guess Who? returns for an in-person event in 2021 after being forced to take a year out in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The festival instead presented an online edition last year.

Le Guess Who? will take place from November 11 to 14, 2021. Find more information here.
