As previously announced, SUUNS, Lucrecia Dalt, The Bug, Mount Eerie’s Phil Eleverum, Thee Oh Sees’ John Dwyer, Matana Roberts and Moon Duo have all been enlisted to curate a selection of films and documentaries. Titles include Ten Years With The Band Fugazi (chosen by SUUNS and Matana Roberts); Liquid Sky (chosen by Lucrecia Dalt); Solaris (chosen by The Bug); and Sun Ra: A Joyful Noise (chosen by Moon Duo).
The weekend of streaming will also take in previously unseen recordings of past festival performances by the likes of Sun Ra Arkestra, AEAEA (Nicolás Jaar & Patrick Higgins), Anoushka Shankar & Manu Delago, Sons Of Kemet XL, and Circuit Des Yeux Ensemble. Faust’s Jean-Hervé Peron will be interviewed live over Zoom, while tQ contributor Harry Sword will be interviewed by Deradoorian about his upcoming book, Monolithic Undertow, which focuses on the history of drone music.
Musician King Khan and his daughter, Bella The Bizarre, have recorded their own Telethon, described as "a psycho-magic comedy in which they answer the deeper questions of life utilising Khan’s ‘Black Power Tarot’ project, and Le Guess Who? will also share a series of specially commissioned scene reports from countries such as Colombia, India, Ghana, Democratic Republic Of Congo, Iraq and more.
LGW ON will take place online from November 13 to 15, 2021. You can find the full schedule here.
