Bandcamp has launched a new live-streaming initiative that will see artists share concerts through the site.
It all kicks off today (September 5) with a performance from Mary Lattimore ahead of the release of her new album, Silver Ladders. Lattimore will play accompanied by Julianna Barwick and Walt McClements, with the show set to kick off at 8pm BST. Pre-sale tickets are available via Lattimore’s Bandcamp page.
In addition to Lattimore’s show today, Bandcamp has also lined up sets from Sarah Davachi and Matmos later this month. The first of those, from Matmos, will take place on September 17, in support of their latest album, The Consuming Flame: Open Exercises In Group Form, which was released last month.
Sarah Davachi’s show will take place on September 20, the day before the release of her new album, Cantus, Descant. The concert film was captured during an October 2019 performance at the Museum Of Jurassic Technology in LA, where she played several pieces from the album on a Story & Clark reed organ. Pre-sale tickets are available here.
Further details on more concerts in Bandcamp’s live-streaming initiative are yet to be announced.
