Squarepusher Returns With New Album

'Be Up A Hello' is his first album in five years

Squarepusher will release a new album via Warp Records early next year.

Titled Be Up A Hello, the album takes influence from the Essex DIY rave scene that the producer, real name Tom Jenkinson, was a part of in the ’90s. In contrast to his last album, 2015’s Damogen Furies, the new record was produced using vintage analogue and digital production equipment with Jenkinson recording each track in a single take.

"Whilst analogue sounds can be cliched, if you look at the processes that generate them analytically, there are still ways you can create new sonic palates," Jenkinson says of his decision to switch up his recording process.

Warp Records will release Be Up A Hello on January 31, 2020. You can hear lead track ‘Vortrack’ above.
