Thurston Moore To Sell Records From Collection

Over 300 records from Moore's private collection will be made available for sale at East London record shop World of Echo

Thurston Moore is selling off more than 300 records from his private collection.

The records will be available for purchase from East London record shop World of Echo starting on October 5. The collection of records up for sale is said to span various genres including "jazz, noise, hardcore, black metal, ethnographic, punk and post-punk, no-wave, krautrock, ambient, electronic and the avant garde".

A number of the records, according to a press release announcing the sale, are "highly collectible" and "rarely seen" for sale. The records will only be available to purchase at the shop itself which can be found on Columbia Road in London. World of Echo will reveal some of the records available from Moore’s collection via its Instagram page in the run-up to the sale. You can follow the shop here.

Moore recently covered New Order for a series of upcoming 7" releases and spoke to tQ about the track here. He’ll release a new album, titled Spirit Counsel, this Friday (September 20) via Daydream Library Series, the record label he found last year with Eva Prinz.
