Oren Ambarchi Reveals New Solo Album, ‘Shebang’

The album includes contributions from Konrad Sprenger and Jim O'Rourke, among others

Oren Ambarchi has a new solo album on the way for Drag City.

Titled Shebang, it’s said to be an extension of past "long-form rhythmic workouts" found on Ambarchi’s 2014 album Quixotism, as well as 2016’s Hubris. Like those records, Shebang includes contributions from a number of guest artists, including Konrad Sprenger, Jim O’Rourke, Julia Reidy and Chris Abrahams. The album follows on from Ambarchi’s collaborative record with Johan Berthling and Andreas Werliin, Ghosted, which was released by Drag City in April and recently appeared among tQ’s favourite albums of the year so far. You can listen to Shebang‘s opening cut ‘I’ just below.

Drag City will release Shebang on September 30, 2022.
