The Soft Moon Returns With New Album, ‘Exister’

"The whole point of this record was to share every emotion that I feel," Luis Vasquez says of the new record

The Soft Moon has a new album on the way, called Exister.

The follow-up to 2018’s Criminal LP, the 11-track album features contributions from fish narc and Special Interest’s Alli Logout. The former appears on the album’s lead track, ‘Him’, for which you can watch a video above. Of the track, The Soft Moon, AKA Luis Vasquez, said in a statement: "I struggle with ‘good side/bad side’ endlessly. ‘Him’ recounts that battle, expressing the turmoil it brings into my life."

Speaking more widely about the new record, Vasquez added: "The whole point of this record was to share every emotion that I feel. No two songs are the same. It’s about existing in the world as a human being and experiencing many emotions and experiences throughout life."

Sacred Bones will release Exister on September 23, 2022.
