Shirley Collins Details New EP, ‘Crowlink’

The release features vocals from the artist alongside field recordings captured by Matthew Shaw

Shirley Collins is releasing a new EP later this month.

Crowlink follows on from last year’s Domino-released Heart’s Ease LP and takes its name from that album’s closing track, as well as a hamlet in the Seven Sisters on the Sussex coast. The EP takes in five songs sung by Collins that feature field recordings from the edge of the cliffs at Crowlink, Firle Church and Etchingham, as captured by by Matthew Shaw, who produced the release and played additional instrumentation across all the tracks.

Collins has shared a video for one of the five tracks, ‘My Sailor Boy’, which you can watch above. She’s also revealed details of two special UK shows with her band, which will take place on July 31 and August 1 at the Charleston Trust in East Sussex. Find details for those shows here.

Domino will release Crowlink on July 30, 2021.
