The Knife’s ‘Tomorrow, In A Year’ To Get First Vinyl Release

It's the latest part of The Knife's 20th anniversary celebrations

The Knife are releasing their 2010 collaboration with Mt. Sims and Planningtorock, Tomorrow, In A Year, on vinyl for the first time.

Due out this August, the release is a continuation of the Swedish duo’s 20th anniversary celebrations. Having previously only been released digitally and on CD, this latest edition will see the album pressed on 180-gram vinyl, spread across two 12" records.

Tomorrow, In A Year was born from a 2009 commission by the Danish performance group Hotel Pro Forma, who invited The Knife to provide music for an opera marking the 150th anniversary of Charles Darwin’s On The Origin Of Species. The Knife subsequently joined up with Mt. Sims and Planningtorock to record studio versions of the compositions, which were released via their label Rabid Records.

The Knife launched their 20th anniversary celebrations last August with a new Bandcamp page and the unveiling of some previously unreleased material.

Rabid Records will release Tomorrow, In A Year on August 20, 2021.
