The Horrors Detail New EP, ‘Lout’

The EP "is about the relationship between choice and chance, compulsive risk-taking and pushing your luck," says the group's Faris Badwan

The Horrors will release a new EP next month.

The three-track Lout follows on from the band’s last album, 2017’s V. Frontman Faris Badwan says the EP "is about the relationship between choice and chance, compulsive risk-taking and pushing your luck," adding that "we’ve always had an aggressive side and as we began writing new songs it became clear that we were heading in that direction." You can listen to the EP’s title track above.

Speaking further about the forthcoming release, bassist Rhys Webb says: "It’s the nastiest music we’ve made since [2007 debut album] Strange House. An intense barrage of industrial noise. A return to the spirit and attitude of our debut LP but blasted into the future."

Wolf Tone will release Lout on March 12, 2021.
