The Avalanches Tease New Album, ‘We Will Always Love You’

It follows on from collaborations earlier this year with the likes of Neneh Cherry, Blood Orange and Jamie xx

The Avalanches have teased early details of a new album, titled We Will Always Love You.

Coming off the back of a string of new tracks released earlier this year – featuring the likes of Neneh Cherry, Blood Orange, Vashti Bunyan and Jamie xx – the duo have now unveiled the new album’s Jonathan Zawada-designed cover art via a post on Instagram.

They’ve also shared details of the Ann Druyan-produced sleeve. Druyan is Creative Director of the Voyager Golden Record Project, and the pair say that her "cosmic love story inspired this music."

In a statement, they said: "In keeping with the album’s theme of everlasting love as an undying vibration, Ann’s image was run through a spectograph, turned into sound, and back again. The image remains hidden, deep within in the grooves of the music, for you to discover if you wish."

The album will be available for pre-order from next week, according to the duo, with a release date yet to be revealed.
