Evian Christ Releases First Track For Warp, ‘Ultra’

It comes backed by a video that was shot in extreme weather conditions at the O'ahu Waimea shorebreak in Hawaii

Evian Christ has released a long-awaited new track, called ‘Ultra’, his first for Warp Records since signing to the label in 2015.

The track sees the producer channelling his affectation for euphoric trance, which he’s also explored in the past in his Trance Party club night series and the infamous Trance War exhibition, for which he collaborated with visual artist David Rudnick to present it at London’s ICA in 2016 and at the 2018 Moscow Biennale.

‘Ultra’ comes backed by a video that was shot in extreme weather conditions at the O’ahu Waimea shorebreak in Hawaii. The visual, which you can watch above, is directed by David Rudnick and Daniel Swan, with the assistance of BAFTA-winning Ocean Cinematographer Chris Bryan.

‘Ultra’ is out now on Warp Records.
