Posthumous Frankie Knuckles Track Features On New Compilation

'Carefree (I Am A Star)' is the first track to be unveiled from the forthcoming 'Jackmaster 7' release

A previously unreleased Frankie Knuckles track has been unveiled posthumously.

Set to feature on the forthcoming Jackmaster 7 compilation, ‘Carefree (I Am A Star)’ includes vocals from the Chicago house legend who passed away in 2014. Jackmaster 7 is a new instalment of the house music compilation series Jackmaster, which DJ International put out six volumes of between 1987 and 1991. The single release of ‘Carefree (I Am A Star)’ comes with two remixes: one by DJ International label head Rocky Jones and another by Chicago DJ and producer Chip E.. Further singles for tracks featured on Jackmaster 7 will be released by the label in the coming weeks, all backed by additional remixes.
