Caribou Shares New Track

'Home' is the first new track from Dan Snaith's Caribou project in five years

Caribou has shared a new track called ‘Home’. You can hear it above.

It’s the first new song to emerge from Dan Snaith as Caribou since he released the album Our Love in 2014, and centres around a sample from a soul track by Gloria Barnes, also called ‘Home’.

"I’m always listening to lots of music and sometimes a loop just jumps out at me – it’s too perfect," Snaith says of how the track came together. "That’s how it was with Gloria Barnes’ ‘Home’ – I kept returning to it, meaning to do something with it but not knowing what. Sometimes making music feels like a process I’m in charge of… but there other times, when things just present themselves and my job is to follow their lead. It wasn’t until the circumstances of someone close to me mirrored the refrain of the original song that the track all came together."

Alongside the new track, Snaith has announced new tour dates as Caribou which will see him play across the UK and Europe next spring, including a show at London’s Brixton Academy. Find the full list of dates here. Tickets will go on sale this Friday (October 11).
