Moby To Release Second Memoir

Moby's forthcoming second memoir will focus on the period following the release of his 1999 album Play

Moby is to release a second memoir next year.

Published by Faber Social, the book will focus on the period following the release of his best-selling 1999 album Play.Titled Then It Fell Apart, it will follow on from his first memoir, Porcelain, which looked at the early part of his career covering the years between 1989 and 1999.

Faber Social describes the book as "a journey into the dark heart of fame and the demons that lurk beneath the bling and bluster of the celebrity lifestyle". The press release announcing the book adds that in the wake of Play‘s release: "Suddenly he was hanging out with David Bowie and Lou Reed, Christina Ricci and Madonna, taking ecstasy for breakfast (most days), drinking litres of vodka (every day), and sleeping with super models (infrequently). It was a diet that couldn’t last. And then it fell apart."

You can pre-order the book ahead of its May 2 release here. Last week, Moby put 200 drum machines from his personal collection up for sale for charity.
