Unsound Announces First Acts For 2018

Ben UFO, Blawan and Jlin are all set to appear at this year's Unsound festival

The first set of acts for this year's Unsound in Kraków has been announced with the likes of Ben UFO, Blawan and a special live appearance from Jlin all lined up.

Jlin will provide music for a live show alongside Company WayneMcGregor called 'Autobiography Edits', billed as a dance inspired by genome sequencing, and Terry Riley is lined up to play a show at a salt mine. Amnesia Scanner and TCF are set to experiment with AI as part of their live show, while Tim Hecker will play alongside traditional Japanese court musicians.

Also billed are Her Records' MM & Suda, Rabit, House of Kenzo & Sam Rolfes (who will collectively present a show called 'Magna Surgat'), Christoph de Babalon, DJ Storm, Alva Noto, Marie Davidson, Lucrecia Dalt, DJ Bus Replacement Service, JASSS, Eris Drew, Linn Da Quebrada, Rozzma and more.

Unsound runs from October 7-15 and this year's theme is 'Presence'. Festival passes go on sale this Wednesday from the festival's website. Find more details on this year's event here.
