LISTEN: New Thurston Moore Single

A new track from Thurston Moore will be made available on a limited edition 7" vinyl

Thurston Moore has announced a new single set for release on Blank Editions.

The record consists of two tracks: one, a brand new track called ‘Mx Liberty’, which you can hear above, looks at the current state of the US presidency; the other is a cover of a 1977 track by Metal Urbain called ‘Panik’. "Burning with insolence and primal angst energy, It’s lyrics, are even more pertinent today in the face of contempo-demagoguery," a press release says of the track.

The single will be released on February 19 on a hand-assembled, limited edition 7" vinyl which you can purchase from Blank Editions here. The lyrics for ‘Mx Liberty’ are included in a collage designed by Moore with the record, while it also includes a pin badge.

Moore recorded the record with members of his London-based group, made up of Deb Googe (My Bloody Valentine), James Sedwards (Nøught) and Jem Doulton (Dead Days Beyond Help), at a studio close to the early 1970s HQ of Britain’s Angry Brigade, a non-violent group of anarchists, on Amhurst Road.
