Einstürzende Neubauten, Gas and an exclusive collaboration between The Bug and JK Flesh’s ZONAL project with Moor Mother are amongst the first acts announced for this year’s Unsound in Kraków.
This year’s festival will also see specially commissioned sets from Nivhek (otherwise known as Grouper) & MFO with a show called ‘After Its Own Death’, Moondog For Gamelan (comprised of Iwan Gunawan and his ensemble Kyai Fatahillah joining forces with Swede Stefan Lakatos) and Robin Fox, who will present a special laser show called ‘Single Origin’.
Unsound will also take in sets from Nina Kraviz, Visible Cloaks, Umfang, Jlin, DJ Bone b2b DJ Stingray, DJ Sprinkles, Ewa Justka, Juliana Huxtable, Noncompliant, Nkisi, Varg and Pharmakon, with plenty more to be announced in the coming months.
The festival is this year themed around ‘Flower Power’ and will look into music born in opposition to dominant forces. It takes place from October 8-15, and you can get tickets and find more information here.
