Talking Heads - Little Creatures
It's a little bit poppy and quite straightforward at times. It's got things on it that are brilliant. 'Perfect World' is a brilliant song. 'And Road to Nowhere' is great. When you listen it seems obvious in a way that it's near the end and he's going to go off and do Brazilian stuff. He also pulled the songwriting reins on this one; but I think the individual people in that band are all fantastic. I think the rhythm section is one of the best there is. Almost all my favourite bass players are women. I think they listen more, that's my theory. Naomi Yang from Galaxie 500, Kim Deal, Tina Weymouth… there are lots.
