Duo share video for track taken from debut Invada EP

With Jupiter-C's first record for Geoff Barrows' Invada label out tomorrow, the duo have shared a video for one of its tracks, 'Critical Mass'.

Blasts of colours and playful symmetry accompany the track's hazy synths and chugging drum machines, coming off like a soundtrack for an imagined dystopia. The video is made by long-term visual collaborator Sapphire Goss, and the track features on an EP that also includes another original track from the pair as well as remixes by East India Youth and Clint Mansell.

The video itself collect archival film footage and 1930s astronomy illustrations, offsetting these images against digitally rendered effects. To celebrate the release of their new EP, the pair will play at The White Hotel in Salford tomorrow (March 3), with support from Virginia Wing, Monk, Kyogen and Go Away. The London launch party will take place at The Old Blue Last on March 9 with support from Kyogen, Monk and Sophie Coletta, as well as visuals provided by Sapphire Goss.
