Christian Eede , January 30th, 2017 17:53

Composer takes on a new track from the duo turning in an sprawling eight-minute remix; listen below

Jupiter-C will soon release their first EP for Geoff Barrow's Invada label, and featured on it is a remix from composer Clint Mansell - you can take a first listen of it above right now.

The eight-minute remix of 'Critical Mass' strips back Jupiter-C's original to an expansive, gradual builder, steeped in gorgeous melodies and Ashiya Eastwood's vocals, its synths and strings recalling some of Mansell's past soundtrack work.

Elsewhere on the EP, there is a remix from East India Youth, as well as original new tracks from the duo. It will be released on coloured 12" vinyl and available digitally also. The record was recorded at Bristol's Invada Studios. Live date announcements are also due in the wake of the EP's release soon.
