Different Circles' weekly Sunday party series announced for July and August

Mumdance and Logos have announced a series of parties run by their Different Circles label. The seven events run Sundays this July and August at The Victoria in East London. Kicking off the Summer Series on July 5 is mahraganat duo, representatives of Cairo's 100 Copies label and firm tQ favourites Sadat and Alaa50 with DJ Eissa as well as Untold, Temple and Mumdance himself along with Novelist.

“I have literally had about ten conversations lately about how something needs to happen in London with the sound that Different Circles is highlighting so we decided to try and create a space," says Mumdance on the Series' origins. "Last Monday I found a venue and on a bit of a whim, went in and booked out all the Sundays that were available over the next two months. As I was walking home I just got on the phone and the series pretty much programmed itself within 24 hours." Adds label co-owner Logos: “We feel like historically a lot of memorable nights ran on a Sunday, like Metalheadz at the Blue Note and FWD>>. Sunday parties were also a key incubator of UK garage. We wanted to follow in their footsteps and leave things open for a crowd that really cares about the music."

Also set to feature on the line-up are Powell, Russell Haswell, Fis, Patten, Shapednoise, Raime, Airhead, The Square, Okzharp, Blackdown, Beneath, Wen, Riko Dan, Brood Ma, Conor Thomas, Parris, Deadboy, Mr Mitch, Yamaneko, Oil Gang, Gage and Ziro. Have a look at the image for full details on exact line-ups, while you can head to the label's site for tickets (you can also get a season pass granting access to every event).
