LISTEN: Grumbling Fur Remix Hero Fisher

Rework of new single The Colour Of Madness, with Fisher's tour starting in London tonight

Ahead of a new single, ‘Punk’/’The Colour Of Madness’, Hero Fisher is setting out on a 13-date UK tour, beginning tonight at the Hoxton Bar And Kitchen in London. The single will be out on December 1 on limited edition 7" and as part of a digital EP, with remixes from The Horrors and Grumbling Fur, who regular visitors may know that we’re rather partial to, to the tune of releasing their second album, Preternaturals, on our own Phonographic Corporation label earlier this year. We’ve got a first play of their rework, where, from a sample of Fisher’s voice, Daniel O’Sullivan and Alexander Tucker hang cello lines and guitar chords, while a cathedral of ambient sound and snatched field recordings rears up from the gloaming behind – take a listen above. Full details of the gigs are on her Facebook, while you can next catch Grumbling Fur supporting East India Youth at Heaven in London on November 13.
