eden ahbez - Eden's island
This music is a more recent discovery than the rest listed here, but the album is from 1960, and as far as I know the only album eden ahbez released. It is music that produces images, and has gotten me through some bleak Berlin winters. Sort of 60s psychedelia: vibes, choir, percussion and spoken words. Not sure this description makes it sound as good as it is. There is something bizarre and funny in a wonderful, twisted way hidden in the music, which I really like.
