LISTEN: Second Storey (Perc Remix)
The Quietus , August 6th, 2014 06:27

Taken an exclusive first listen to Ali Wells' pummeling remix of Second Storey's slippery electro cut for Houndstooth

Last year Second Storey - aka Alec Storey, the artist formerly known as Al Tourettes - signed to Houndstooth, Fabric's in-house label A&R'd by Rob Booth of Electronic Explorations, for the Margosa Heights EP. Pushing beyond the spluttery, anarchic electro-inspired approach of his earlier work into more complex yet more melodically exploratory spaces, Storey is now following up that EP with a full-length album titled Double Divide this autumn.

Ahead of the album's release, Houndstooth are releasing advance single 'Shaman Champagne' on 18th August on 12" and digital formats, which pairs Storey's original with remixes from Aden and Quietus favourite Perc. We're pleased to be able to offer you an advance stream of Perc's characteristically dense, metal-tipped remix, another of the supremely intense dancefloor head-choppers Ali Wells has renowned (and well played in tQHQ) for. Listen via the embed below, and click here to visit the Houndstooth website to pre-order the 12".
