The Kaiser Chiefs – Employment
This might seem like a bit of a weird one, but for me it’s one of the best albums to have come out in the past ten years. It’s got about six or seven absolutely brilliant tracks on it. They were up there with the Beatles in terms of the quality of a debut album. It was astounding. It’s a shame really, because there are two or three tracks on it that are filler. It could be a classic, but classic albums don’t have filler. I love really good, rocky pop music. The Kaiser Chiefs are a brilliant band, technically, and they’ve got a very distinct vocal sound and a very good singer. They’re the sort of songs that anyone would have died to have written.
