Ace minimalist singer-songwriter Scout Niblett is currently hard at work on a new album, due early next year; before then, though, she's released an EP, 'No More Nasty Scrubs' (artwork above), out now via Drag City, featuring her takes on TLC's 'No Scrubs' and Janet Jackson's 'Nasty' - have a watch of her video of the latter below:

Speaking about the background of the song, Niblett says: "The song 'Nasty' was recorded by myself just using my computer back in January. It was in response to a request from my friend Jan Lankisch, who is putting together a Janet Jackson tribute album - it will be coming out on the tribute album early next year."

In the meantime, you can get hold of it on download or 7" vinyl here.

I don't know why ! needs to be a "fuck" for asking a question? I actually think it's a legit question if you operate under the assumption that this being a question about an "artist" is a question of quality of product sold... not quantity. Yes she's sold a lot of albums, we all know that, these years on, how many people are still being rewarded by these albums or songs? Did that clear up !'s the question for you?
